The Windmill is an English speaking pre-school for International children aged 2 to 5 years old. Established in 2000, The Windmill has earned an excellent reputation with parents past and present plus the British and International schools around the Dutch city of The Hague. Within this web site you will see that The Windmill is a structured playgroup / pre-school whose curriculum promotes child development in accordance with the UK Department of Education Foundation Stage.

toddlers

The windmill toddlers is a group for younger children aged 0 to 4 years accompanied by parents. It is designed to promote early development and social skills.

When you walk into our classrooms you will find a large colourful room that is carefully divided into interest areas.

The playgroup and pre-school are located in the same classes but depending on the child's age and abilities a few activities are slightly different, such as one-to-one with the teacher on the work table.

Our classrooms are bright and colourful, lots of window area for natural daylight.

We have items that children can manipulate, explore, play and share.

The classrooms and their layout are designed to encourage your child's natural curiosity and desire to learn about the world around them

NEWS

With effect January 1, 2010 The Windmill will be offering ALL Day sessions from 09:00 until 14:45. These sessions will be in addition to the existing Morning and Afternoon sessions.

In addition the Morning session will increase to 3 hours (09:00 to 12:00).

NO increase in school fees for January 2010. The normal annual increase of school fees has been frozen for the first two terms of 2010 to help parents through the recession.
